What clients get
Two licensed brokers for the price of one: Lake and associate broker Sara Hernandez. And a team that knows the details that cost people money when they get missed: HOA transfer fees, metro district taxes, which condo and townhome complexes qualify for FHA and VA loans, and how new-construction pricing compares with resales a few streets over.
Lake holds the Certified Military Residential Specialist (CMRS) designation for VA and military buyers, and he works with Colorado public school employees on the CHFA Schools To Home program, including visiting school staff rooms to explain it.
In the neighborhood
Lake hosts a Trunk or Treat every fall and the annual Green Valley Ranch Easter egg hunt every spring, and he runs monthly community trash cleanups in Green Valley Ranch. He also takes part in local school back-to-school nights and fall festivals and neighborhood movie nights. He also runs LakesList.org, a free local business directory, and GVRCalendar.com for neighborhood events.
Outside of real estate
Lake has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a focus in Human Resources, from Kennesaw State University, and is a commercial pilot with a multi-engine rating. He has owned rental properties for years and still owns and manages a short-term rental in Breckenridge. Most of his time off goes to his two daughters: skiing and travel.
